Shark Rotator TruePet Powered Lift-Away NV652 review

Today I’ll be reviewing a new vacuum cleaner released by Shark just a few weeks ago. After reading this article, you’ll know what are its main strengths, its few weak points and most importantly, where you can get a really nice deal. The Lift-Away proves to be a high quality vacuum cleaner and a floor-care product that offers great satisfaction to its owners. And the perks don’t stop here. The materials used are far superior to prior Rotator versions. The design is completely new, although it continues the same principles and follows the same lines as older Shark vacuum cleaner models.

Many customer reviews show that this appliance stands out amongst most recent vacs, since the services it provides are also complemented by a considerably low price and a favorable 7yr warranty. There are many 5 stars ratings on most online shops, and the people whom I’ve contacted declared themselves completely satisfied by the NV652. Another thing good to know, this vacuum has a twin brother, the NV651 (Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away Deluxe) and originates from the NV650, the basic version. The main difference between the NV651 (Deluxe) and NV652 (TruePet) is that the latter comes with an additional pet tool and with the accessory bag. Lift-away capability is a feature that greatly raises the rank of this product among its competitors. You can separate the reservoir and vacuum motor so as to use the pod unit as a portable cleaner which makes it easy to clean areas that are difficult to reach, such as the stairs and corners. Also, you can let the pod be on the caddy and it will function effectively as a canister vacuum.
The 270AW suction power is a good indicator of the efficiency and capability of a cleaner to take up dust and other materials from the floor, carpet or ceiling. It matters a lot as it also determines the time you use to vacuum your home. The Hard-Floor Genie allows for high quality bare floor cleaning and has a washable micro fiber pad that works great on bare floors. There might be other brands of vacuum cleaners with a similar feature, but this one is so far one of the best I’ve seen.
This vacuum cleaner produces very little noise when working. In fact, you can easily be tempted to test it with your smartphone, I know I was. Averaging between 65 and 70 db, Shark produced both a great achievement and surprised me in a positive way. The dust cup is extra large and ensures that you do not have to stop vacuuming to empty it. Ie. I could vacuum  my entire house with just one go. This saves precious time. No loss of suction is a guaranteed feature as the cyclonic system performs excellently in separation of dust particles and fine dirt from the air. This helps to keep filters safe from being clogged after a short time. However, always remember to clean filters as the manual indicates so as to maintain the optimum efficiency of the vacuum cleaner.
Rotator has swivel steering, which allows you to maneuver it around with much ease. In fact, some people complain about the over-steering phenomenon. It can be detached and laid completely flat, which enables you to clean under low clearance obstacles where other vacuum cleaners can not reach. This feature ensures that your hand is safe from straining and at the same time contributes to your thorough clean.
The filtration system is designed using a technology that takes care of the allergic users. It traps almost 100% of dust and other potentially allergic substances like mite feces, as they pass through the large capacity HEPA filter. With the 2-in-1 Dusting Genie, even the finest particles are barred from getting into the breathing air around you. The pet upholstery tool makes it possible to lift all pet hairs from your couch, carpets, delicate fabrics and curtains.
The TruePet lifts up loose debris, pet hair and deep cleans surfaces. The Hard Floor Genie attachment provides the best cleaning experience when working on bare floors. It also includes a micro fiber pad that picks up finer debris. With the TruePet Mini-Motorized Brush, you control the power of the motorized brush and ensure the result of the cleaning is nothing less of magnificent and dust-free. The HEPA filter should be washed at least once a year, as stated within the guidelines provided in the product’s manual.

Pros reported by happy buyers

• The ergonomic design of the handle encourages you to vacuum.
• The lift-away feature is very useful.
• The 7 year warranty speaks for itself. In other words, the manufacturer is confident about the quality and performance of this appliance and therefore, you too can count on it.
• The price is a steal and this makes people satisfied.

Cons reported by unhappy buyers

Since no appliance can be 100% perfect, the Lift-Away has a few short-comings:

• Some fibers and strings from various stuff tends to stick in the rotating brush bristles. This might be an inevitable problem that will often force you to manually remove these materials as a maintenance measure to ensure that your cleaner works efficiently.
• The weight of the vacuum cleaner and canister might be too much for some people. Together, these two weight to about 16 pounds and this, according to some reviewers, is a little too much to carry around, especially upstairs.
• It does not have an auto cord rewind feature and this forces you to wind the cord back after you are through with cleaning. This is somewhat old-fashioned, but still very common in today’s vacs. I bet it was difficult to incorporate the auto rewind system into the design without compromising some other crucial features.
