Now that Thanksgiving is over, I bet you need something to help you clean things around. Moreover, with all this Black Friday fuss, I bet you would want something that is at least on 50% discount, and since I’ve already showed you the other day what to use on bare floors, I’ll be focusing now on carpet cleaners. Thus look no more, I’ve got you covered with today’s review of the Bissell SpotBot Pet Handsfree Spot and Stain Cleaner. Bissell has 4 types of portable carpet cleaners. The first is SpotBot, a good reliable product with 2 versions: 33N8A and 33N8T (I’ll cover later in detail what are the differences among those 2). Second, I bet you’ve head of the Little Green, one of Bissell’s main success stories. Then follows the new line of portable deep cleaners called SpotClean. There are several models, I won’t cover all but I will definitely sum up what they have to offer. Last but not least, Bissell also produces some small handheld models under the name Spot Lifter. Among all of these, I’ve chosen the SpotBot since I find it to have one of the best price/quality ratios I’ve seen.

Suction & cleaning power	Thanks to its Deep Reach system, the Bissell SpotBot Pet is the machine that will do the laboring and not the buyer. However, you are not limited to these. You can use any brand of carpet shampoo (i.e. , Nature’s Miracle for Carpets), or even home made formulas such as a vinegar-water mixture, hydrogen peroxide and so on. The product package usually includes 2 trials: a Oxy Gen2® and a 2X Pet Stain and Odor Formula for Portables. Tank Capacity: 32 oz.
Antimicrobial Protection	It features Microban Antimicrobial Protection which is a special kind of protection offered against the growth and spread of bacteria which has mostly been associated with odor. It is the same protection that also safeguards surfaces from molds and mildew, and is one of the requirements that must be in place for this kind of an appliance to be fully certified.
Weight and Dimensions	Weights around 14 lbs. when the tanks are empty. It has a cleaning surface of 7 inches. It measures 15 x 9 x 17 inches.
Warranty	Has only a 1-year warranty, and is made in China. It comes with a hose and a 3″ stain tool brush which are meant to clean various surfaces, and will therefore be used to reach difficult areas or in cases where the automatic mechanism has failed. I also recommend you use this stain tool to vacuum the excess of water/liquid that remains in the cleaned circle, after the automatic mode completes its procedures. You can buy separately other accessories such as the 4″ Upholstery Tool, the Spraying Crevice Tool, the TurboBrush Tool and the 6″ Wide Stair Tool. And if you have space problems, you can purchase a storage tray to help you out.
Special features	Automatic smart system – The appliance has been built with an automatic smart system which determines the right amount of solution to use for a particular stain. It calculates the amount of the solution needed to effectively remove a particular stain and at the end of the first 400 revolutions of the spiral brushes, all the hard stains will be cleared away.
Usability	Due to its relatively small size, the machine is convenient to handle. Owing to its simple controls and the automated cleaning feature, it is particularly helpful to people who suffer limited mobility. Endowed with a 16-foot power cord, anyone can move the SpotBot around the room with ease. The 5-feet hose is meant for users who prefer to use the manual mechanism in their cleaning. With such an addition, the appliance becomes highly effective in cleaning staircases, automobile interiors and upholstery. When the hose is combined with the 3-inch hand tool which also comes along, it is highly effective for removing stairs from these places that have been mentioned above. One thing you should note: the product doesn’t heat water. This has always been included in the list of features so that potential buyers know the exact description of an appliance that they are about to buy. It is never built with a water heater. If you must use warm water during cleaning, therefore, this should be added. However, it is worth noting that nearly all home carpet cleaners are not fitted with internal water heaters, be it a shampooer unit or an upright appliance.
Price	My best tip: this product can be bought this week for only $150.00, which is by far one of the nicest deals I’ve found online.

Difference between Bissell SpotBot Pet 33N8A vs. Bissell SpotBot Pet 33N8T

At the moment, Bissell sells the 33N8A and the 33N8T. Aside from their different color (silver vs. red) and price, these models are one and the same. I never really got the chance to get my hands on a 33N8T, but most likely it has some more attachments included. Some people also asked me what is the difference between the 33N8 and 33N8A. As in the first case, there is no difference.

Reviews with the advantages of this appliance

I purchased this appliance one month ago, to clean the mess from our pets. We have two cats and one puppy, and I therefore use this appliance between 2 and 3 times each week. I love it because it works well on both surface and set-in stains. It leaves crop circles on the carpet, but this is mostly because I use a strong oxidizing agent as a cleaning solution.
I really love this carpet cleaner. The tanks are easy to clean and fill, the cleaning is effective, the automatic mode is well worth it. Good job Bissell!
The hands-free operation is perfect. I get to clean easily what my 2 dogs are doing also easily.
… It is compact in size and light in weight. My old carpet cleaner weighted like a ton and more.
It is effective especially for small stains, which are made by 95% of pet, including my 4 years old Scottish fold.

Reviews with the downsides of this appliance

It leaves circular spots, so if you have a dirty carpet, you will actually get clean crop circles.
…it’s a little bit too noisy for my taste…
If you have large stains like I did, removing them is a pain in the *** …
…If you are doing large areas, however, you may get tired of refilling the tank from time to time.

Despite the fact that this appliance has its downs, it definitely has more advantages and has helped multiple users. Using a little amount of the cleaning solution to remove tough stains and stubborn pet odors, you will surely fall in love and become a fan of this machine with time.
